Lustenau / Austria
Wipro-NewLogic's Austrian headquarters is the centre of our international, highly
qualified engineer team as well as our sales, marketing, finance and
administration department. Our competent, professional and motivated
engineers focus on three main areas: turnkey IC design services for leading
semiconductor companies, development of intellectual property for wireless
systems such as Bluetooth and next generation wireless LANs and the
integration of these components into complete system on chip SOC solutions.
We are situated in Lustenau, in the state of
Vorarlberg,
at the eastern end of beautiful Lake Constance also called
the "Three-Country-Edge" where Germany, Austria and Switzerland
meet. This location is right in the heart of Europe, which makes it easy and
convenient to travel to: Zurich, Switzerland; Munich, Germany or Milan,
Italy.
About 5 km north of Lustenau you will find the beautiful and vibrant city
Dornbirn, where the marketplace in the centre is well worth visiting. You
will find nice bars, good restaurants and a wide variety of clothes and
jewellery shops. Three times a week a farmers market takes place, where you
can buy fresh-bio products from the area. Dornbirn is also a centre for
culture with its museums,
theatres, concerts and outdoor events in summer.
The main highlight being the New Orleans Festival, where American and local
Jazz and Blues bands come together creates a cheerful atmosphere.
Furthermore, the Impuls Festival
is a great event with dance performances and street-artists.
The origins of the metropolis Bregenz,
the capital of Vorarlberg, date back
to the time of the Romans, who founded the "Brigantium" legion
there in 15 B.C. The historic town still bears evidence of the ensuing
2000-year history. The main landmark of the town (pop. 28,000) is also
situated here, namely the Martin Tower with its early baroque dome, the
largest of its kind in Europe.
Bregenz is very famous for its cultural programme. Throughout the year it
offers expositions in the Kunsthaus,
interesting cabarets and
representations in the theatres. The best known and most visited is the
Bregenz Festival,
which takes place every summer. Operas and musicals are
performed on the worlds largest stage in the water, which is built on Lake
Constance. After participating in all of these activities you may want to
unwind by having a bite to eat in one of the fine restaurants, where almost
every delight can be sampled.
The mountains and lakes are perfect for every kind of sporting and
recreational activity. From sports like hiking, walking, sailing, rowing,
swimming, cycling and golf, to skiing
in the beautiful Alps in powder snow
to relaxing on a Wellnessfarm in a calm location. Not forgetting other
fun-sports like beach volleyball and soccer in the Bregenzer or Dornbirner
lido.
