The licensable and silicon independent WiLD 802.11g Modem core is part
of Wipro-NewLogic's Wireless LAN WiLD IP product family.
The WiLD 802.11g Modem needs to be plugged onto an 802.11 MAC block to
implement the signal processing part of the IEEE 802.11g standard.
The WiLD 802.11g Modem has the following features:

Compliant to IEEE802.11, IEEE802.11a, IEEE802.11b and IEEE802.11g
standards.

Supports DSSS and CCK modulations.

Supports OFDM modulations.
-
Optional PBCC and CCK-OFDM modes are not supported.

Low-power, low-frequency design.
-
Supports data rates of 1, 2, 5.5 and 11 Mb/s in DSSS/CCK mode.

Supports data rates of 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54 Mbps in OFDM mode.

Full implementation of 802.11g processing down to the analog interface of
the Scrambling.

Preamble generation for short and long preamble.

Carrier frequency offset compensation.

Channel compensation with an equalizer.
-
FEC coding and Viterbi decoding.
-
Timing, phase and frequency synchronization.
-
Support of various radios: (e.g. Wipro-NewLogic WiLD RF, with analog or HiSS interface.)

Simple, clean and optimized interface to MAC system
-
Full support of WiLD BuP (part of the WiLD 802.11a/b/g MAC).
